The Cloud Fae have long been one of the great engines of oppression within The Ever Hero Saga, their dominion built upon conquest and the terrible Drain technology used to steal life itself. Their war against the Shadowfen dark elves becomes one of the saga’s defining conflicts, driving Eden and her people from resistance toward open rebellion.
Created as a double-page interior illustration for Book 12: Heaven’s Tears, this original painting depicts the scale and fury of a Cloud Fae invasion. Rather than focusing upon a single character, the composition was designed as a complete narrative scene—bringing together armies, environment, movement, and the overwhelming spectacle of war across two facing pages.
The piece is also an example of the Two-Page Interior Book Illustration commissions available through Ever Hero Productions. Double-spread artwork is composed specifically around the proportions of the finished book, with consideration given to the center gutter, visual flow, focal points, and the placement of important narrative elements across both pages.
